Historical gallery of TCFSH

A timeless dialogue with history across a hundred of years

The Founder and honorary chairman of Delta Electronics, Mr. Bruce Cheng, donated the repair for the only left historical Japanese building within the campus of his alma mater, Taichung First Senior High School (TCFSH), at the time of its centennial celebration. An architect firm has been appointed to conduct the restoration, while Cogitoimage was put in charge of the design planning for the gallery of TCFSH History.

To properly display the rare and valuable historical memories and relics of hundred years, we arranged the exhibition according to two themes - the present and the past, leading visitors into an intriguing time corridor where the timeless humanism and the vigorous new life of TCFSH was presented. With the principle, not to cause any damages to the historic building, the display design assimilated warm wood elements with metal materials, which exuded an air of history, altogether in harmony with the style of the architecture and created a cultural atmosphere with high spatial variability.

Overall, the combination of technology and culture by integrating interactive multimedia and energy efficient, carbon reducing technologies from Delta Electronics - like solar panels and micro-projectors - into the construction and exhibition area, has taken the new generation school museum to the next level.
