Breaking boundaries, showing the unique beauty of Africa 
The African Union Pavilion was the largest hall in Shanghai World Expo 2010. The exhibition is designed to show the history of continent Africa, with the concept “man, city, land”, borderless and inter-connected by culture, economy, geography, and other aspects, beginning with the African origin of modern humans, following with the Egyptian, Carthaginian and ancient African civilizations, to the rise of the colonial period, the modern urban development, contemporary African independence movement as well as current international issues and future prospects of Africa.
